Island Girl- BVI Part 3

Okay, so I am definitely in post vacation depression. Just making this blog post makes me miss the BVIS so much! I would definitely much rather be there than back in AZ during this horrific heat wave… Anyways, I am sure you guys would rather me just get on to the good stuff!

Our third official day in paradise was definitely well spent. That afternoon, we made a quick pit stop at this gorgeous part of Virgin Gorda. This part of the island was so completely colorful and cute, it was as if I was inside a Dr. Suess book! All of the buildings were pink, blue, green; such bright pretty colors that you don’t usually see on a regular basis. We stopped there for a bit so that the crew could get a few things for the boat, so the rest of us explored. Ali and I of course took tons of pictures (which you can see if you scroll down below), while everyone else shopped and spent time at another cute little bar. The coolest thing about being there was that we were pretty much by ourselves. There was a restaurant, pool, and shops… yet there was really no one around but us!

After we spent time on the island, we sailed off to another area where we rented some Hoby Cats. Hoby Cats are like a mini sailboat that you can rent for an hour or two. We definitely had a blast sailing, but of course we got stuck! It took us forever to get back to the shore; our Captain almost had to come out on his dinghy to save us… I would not be surprised if he got a good laugh out of it though, we really had no idea what we were doing. We ran  into a few        buoys, crossed paths with a few boats, and we definitely almost flipped it… but I mean it’s fine,  we were fine hahaha!

After our glimpse into the Captain lifestyle we headed off to another part of the island where we could watch a Tarpon feeding. There was a hotel that fed Tarpon their left over food every day at 5 pm, and everyone would gather around to watch. We made it just in time to watch a man holding a piece of fish out for the Tarpon to grab, only the Tarpon grabbed the man’s arm with it!! Now before you start freaking out and thinking “He ate the mans arm?!” just a quick disclaimer:  Tarpon do not have teeth. The man was fine, he just got violated by a fish that’s all!

So that was pretty much a shortened version of our day… I will have to admit it was pretty great. Not to mention I felt pretty great too in my new suit from Zaful! I have become obsessed with online swimsuit shopping, and Zaful has definitely become a favorite! Click down below for the link to the suit I wore!
